Our Beloved Founder

After 12 years of employment with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Sheri L. Parrack opened Texas Motor Vehicles in 1980 and offered her vast knowledge of licensing requirements to the trucking industry. After being reprimanded at the DMV for “spending too much time helping the public” complete their complex applications, she was inspired to start her own company.

Sheri expanded the transportation services available and grew her business to include Leasing Companies, Auto Dealerships, Banks, Large Fleet Businesses, and Individuals. Texas Motor Vehicles became known as Texas Motor Transportation Consultants.

Proud Family-Owned and Operated Business of 3 Generations

Sheri’s daughter, Lisa L. Keith, joined TMTC in 1985. Later, Sheri’s granddaughter, Kristine L. Brigaitis, joined in 2004 to help while attending high school & college.

Sheri often referred to TMTC as a well-oiled machine as her committed, experienced staff developed close relationships with TMTC’s loyal clients. Following TMTC’s incorporation in 2013, Sheri and Lisa embraced their business partnership. Sheri enjoyed a well-deserved retirement until her unexpected passing in 2020.

The Legacy Carries On

Sheri’s legacy continued as Kristine returned to TMTC in 2020. With great pride and joy, Lisa and Kristine became business partners in 2023.

Today, TMTC’s experienced staff of 18 includes six tenured employees with 26-41 years of experience, four tenured employees with 14-19 years of experience, and three tenured employees with 8-10 years of experience.

As a woman-owned family business, we proudly serve our clients and look forward to passing our immeasurable knowledge to the next generation.
